Safety
Whatever your expectations, Leadership With Integrity is here to exceed them. As parents and Board, we want our children to go to school in a safe environment. As we navigate through the pandemic, we want to ensure that our children may learn safely, without anxiety. We must do whatever it takes to respect each others' rights, working together to preserve our own health as well as the health of those that we are responsible for.

Online versus In Class education
​
There is room for both methods as these complement each other. Some students learn very effectively in an online environment. Some students learn more effectively in a classroom situation and it becomes the Board's responsibility to provide both options. I have had experience in both types of teaching and learning; there are pros and cons for both. To be on the wrong platform will have a devastating effect on learning, so we do need to have tools to assess whether students are in the right situation.

The Curriculum
​
It is important and essential to make sure that we have a curriculum that is appropriate to the level that students are at. The readiness factor is something that needs to be considered. Are students ready and able to learn the content? There has been a great deal of discussion about the curriculum recently and there is little doubt that the curriculum has to be updated periodically. The curriculum should help the students to learn to question and evaluate what society is doing and provide skills that will help students to discern the facts as they are and make choices for their lives that are based on these facts.

Quality Matters
The school board is mandated to care for the educational needs of its students. As such, the Board needs to provide high quality staff, excellent resources, and opportunities for students to excel in a wide variety of programs and courses so that the whole child is encouraged and helped.
